PROGRAM RELATED POSITIONS
Program Coordinator [1 Position]
Responsible for developing and supervising a safe, creative Christian camp program. The individual will be a motivational leader, monitoring quality control of the overall program and the staff performance. The individual is also to ensure efficient set up, takedown, give positive and helpful direction to program staff, act as liaison to DYS and first point contact for problems regarding campers, schedule and staff issues. Requirements: Bi-lingual (English, French), leadership skills, spiritual maturity and a minimum of four years camp experience or equivalent.
Assistant Program Lead [1 Position]
Assist the Program Coordinator in developing, maintaining and supervising a quality Christian program. Ensures program segments are prepared in advance and start on time and all forms are completed. In the event a counsellor is unable to work, this position may fill that spot temporarily. Requirements: leadership skills, spiritual maturity and a minimum of three years camp experience or equivalent.
Counselor [6 Positions, 18+ recommended]
Responsible for campers in their cabin or program. To provide friendship, ensure safety, create a happy camping experience and support any spiritual interest. As well, encourage campers to participate in all activities, lead discussion after Bible time, lead cabin devotion and prayer, be prepared to share their testimony, be prepared to lead a child to Christ. Required to complete paperwork accurately and timely. Requirements: two years camp experience or equivalent.
Assistant Counselor [6 Positions, 16+ recommended]
Provide daily care, guidance, and supervision for campers with responsibility for their safety, health, program involvement and spiritual development. Requirements: one year camp experience or equivalent.
Lifeguard [1 position; 18+ yrs.]
Provide constant watch and supervision of campers and staff while using the lake and water sports. Supervision and maintenance of the lake, beach and water sports. Will drive the boat for program and rescue. In addition, this position will organize program components and assist with chore. Qualifications: NLS, Boat License an asset.
Assistant Lifeguard [1 position, 17+ yrs recommended]
Assist the Lifeguard to provide constant watch and supervision of campers and staff while using the lake and water sports. Supervision and maintenance of the lake, beach and water sports. Qualifications: at least a Bronze Medallion. In addition, this position will be paired with either Chore or Kitchen.
Childcare [1 position]
Provide daily care, guidance and supervision for DYS children with responsibility for their safety, health, physical and creative well-being. Asset: Bi-lingual.

NON PROGRAM RELATED POSITIONS
Camp Administrator [1 Position]
4 days a week [Friday to Monday]
Works alongside the DYS to ensure our Salvation Army and provincial camping standards are meet. Position manages and organizes camper’s registration and records, payments and invoicing, supervision of camp and staff on ‘off weekends’, runs the camp rental program. This position works every weekend (time off will be in the middle of the week). May do errands and hospital runs as needed with the camp van. Requirements: communication skills, spiritual maturity, a clean driver’s license, bi-lingual (English, French), Word and Excel.
Kitchen Hostess [1 Position]
Provide supervision of the Kitchen Support team. Prepare dining hall and tables to meet program needs. Ensure guests’ requests are promptly met. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the dining hall and dish pit. The individual will be a motivational leader, monitoring quality control and staff performance.
Kitchen Support [3-4 Positions]
Courteously set-up dining hall, clear tables and wash dishes. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the dining hall, kitchen, and bathrooms.
Cook [1 Position]
Prepare nutritious, delicious meals for the camp community. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Responsible to ensure and enforce safe food handling according to regulations. Ensure food is served efficiently and courteously. Manage inventory, prepare food orders and receive food. Supervise and direct Assistant Cook and Kitchen Prep Assistant. Qualifications: Safe Food Handling Certificate/ MAPAQ, Cooking Certificate and two years’ experience or equivalent.
Assistant Cook [1 Position]
Assist the Cook to provide nutritious, delicious meals. Serve food efficiently and courteously. Assist with receiving food. Qualifications: Safe Food Handling Certificate/ MAPAQ, Cooking Certificate or one year experience or equivalent
Kitchen Prep Assistant [1 Position]
Assist cooks in the preparation of meals. Serve food efficiently and courteously. Assist with receiving food. Asset: Safe Food Handling Certificate.
Nurse (or First Aid Attendant) [1 position]
Plan and carry out a total program of health and safety for the camp community. Keep all medications secure. Keep detailed records. Responsible for head lice training and checks. Will inform Head Cook of allergies. Qualifications: First Aid Certificate. In quiet periods, this position will assist with Chore.
Maintenance Supervisor [2 position]
Responsible for grounds, building maintenance and security. Supervise maintenance and chore staff, assign duties and work alongside your team. Ensure the camp is kept to high cleanliness standards. Will recommend works to DYS, and be assigned and coordinate various maintenance jobs. Main contact with contractors. Requirements: Bi-lingual (English, French), Drivers’ license, experience in drywall, painting, woodworking, landscaping, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
Chore Staff [1 position]
Clean buildings, keep camp grounds in order, prep camp fires, move heavy objects and work on special projects.
